This year, delta-8 THC, a new marijuana relative, burst onto the national scene. It is an improved form of THC in the Marijuana family. It comes as a vape or an edible, and the state of trance is similar to a moderate form of traditional marijuana.
In terms of chemical structure—three carbon rings, a long tail, and several hangers-on—and psychological effects, delta-8 THC is similar to delta-9 THC, the critical active component in marijuana.
The way they originate is the main distinction. The raw marijuana plant contains delta-9. Delta-8, on the other hand, comes from hemp, a cannabis plant that has been cultivated to produce fiber, biofuel, and bioplastics without the psychotropic THC.
Delta-8-Tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC-8, Delta-8-THC) is popular with digital sellers because it avoids the laws that apply to its cousin, cannabinoid Delta-9-THC. It is possible to synthesize it from CBD oils, resulting in a high profit margin. Not to mention the intoxicating effects and how customers cannot get enough of it. Is THC-8, on the other hand, risk-free?
Even though Delta-8-THC originated in the early twentieth century, consumers, researchers, and regulators have only lately become aware of it. Surprisingly, there is hardly any awareness about its safety profile, particularly in vape pens and edibles. The research is on a small scale in most instances.
What is Delta-8-THC?
Delta-8 is a cannabis component that has grown in popularity due to its resemblance to delta-9 THC, the primary ingredient in cannabis that causes euphoria, happiness, sedation, symptom alleviation, and other effects. The majority of cannabis cultivars have high levels of THC. Chemical structures and terms are the only similarities between the two cannabinoids.
Delta-8 is an acronym for delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is also known as delta-8 THC. The effects of delta-8 THC are comparable to those of ordinary delta-9 THC, although they are significantly less powerful.

The legality of delta-8 is currently unclear. Hemp or cannabis may mix to make it. Hemp may now be cultivated and extracted legally across the United Areas, thanks to the 2018 agricultural bill, making delta-8 lawful in states where delta-9 THC is illegal—in some cases. Almost all Organic delta8 THC on the market today is made from hemp-derived marijuana, making it, at least in principle, part of a federally authorized supply chain.
People in places where THC is under ban want cannabis products, and delta-8 may be legal in their state, even though it is less potent than ordinary THC. To fulfill the gap between demand and supply, several hemp-based extractors are scaling up delta-8 production. It also is exported from the country to across the world.
5 Severe Side Effects of Delta 8 THC
Mouth dryness
One of the most prevalent adverse effects of smoking cannabis flower, whether Delta 8 or Delta 9, is cottonmouth or dry mouth. You will most likely feel parched as long as the Delta-8 molecule is present and active in your body. Many individuals drink a lot of water when taking Delta 8 to avoid this. However, a widespread misunderstanding is an occurrence of dehydration; this is not the case. It occurs as a result of the impact of enzymes on your salivary glands.
Dry eyes
It might not be a surprise to people who wear contact lenses. Consider how it feels to have left your eyes open for a minute. It includes continuously rubbing your eyes, trying to restore some moisture. However, like dry mouth, this lasts as long as Delta 8 is present in your system. This feeling of dry eyes will go away as the impact wears off.

Anxiety
Though Delta 8 alleviates paranoia and anxiety when consumed, consuming too much of it might make you feel jittery. Even though Delta 8 is said to have some of the psychotropic properties of Delta 9, ingesting large amounts of anything might create anxiety. When Delta 8 became legal, a uniform dose was also made available. However, if someone decides to go too far, they will almost certainly face negative consequences. Furthermore, because everybody is different, the effects of Delta 8 may vary from person to person. It is one of the reasons why Delta 8 must be under consumption in modest doses. It takes a bit for it to kick in, so the user should have an effective dose plan.
High-level trance state
Some individuals claim that Delta 8 gives them lightheadedness since it contains psychoactive chemicals, but they are not as potent as THC. It implies that anyone who has this experience is likely to become too concentrated on all of their ideas. On the other hand, they may find it hard to focus and start zoning out.
Inability to concentrate at work
It may be troublesome. However, it is dependent on when you consume Delta 8. It is best to accomplish this in your spare time rather than while you are busy with work. Because Delta 8's recognized effects are to relax you and give you a "high," it is understandable that taking it during work hours might interfere with your productivity. Delta 8 may affect your cognitive and physical abilities, making it difficult to regain your attention.
Is It Legal?
Delta-8 THC is not technically prohibited, as we previously said. Here, we will look at some of the most complicated legal issues that surround this drug.
Several cannabis businesses openly market Delta-8 THC as a legitimate method to get high. That is technically correct, yet it is still a subject of contention for some. For one reason, it is not a prohibited drug. While Delta-9 THC comes under a blanket ban by federal and few state legislation, Delta-8 THC never comes under it. However, more to the point, many supporters will refer to the 2018 Farm Bill. This law made numerous industrial hemp products, including Delta 8, lawful on a nationwide basis.
Conclusion
Because Delta 8 is so new, there has not been enough study to determine the long-term effects it may have on you. The side effects we have mentioned are mainly short-term, and the customer will notice them within a few hours after ingesting Delta 8. Monitor your dose and eat according to the manufacturer's recommendations. If you encounter any of the above-mentioned adverse effects, you should be patient and try not to be too concerned. They will only stay as long as you are high and then fade away.
The risk and benefits of Delta 8 products are balanced, and under controlled doses, it might well be the perfect alternative to other Marijuana products. Delta 8 can also cure the widespread opioid crisis in several states of the United States of America.
I wanted to get high so I went to my smoke shop. I asked for products tested and made sure of purity. The man said all our products are. So I bought 2 pens and left. I was puffing on the disposal and I was feeling it a bit. So I cracked open a cold one and started drinking. It was a Corona light. I only had a little more than a half that night I never finished it because I was getting high so fast. I took a puff of this other pen and it destroyed my throat to hell but I was feeling it. Then my dumb ass was like well the pen’s effect will die soon so i popped half an edible… this trip was insane. I couldn’t read and I couldn’t type. My heart was pounding. I thought I was dead because everything went silent and I thought I died and this was my spirit. I looked at my body and thought it was a corpse. Also that my limbs werent mine. Do not look at yourself in the mirror high! I thought I was looking at another version of myself that was me but not me in my body. My face distorted and it was weird. My muscles were locking so I couldn’t move or it was hard. Like imagine extreem pressure squeezing around you. Like someone squeezing your arm or something. I was paranoid at times. Thought my neighbors could listen. I did scream a few times. One because I was so high I thought my friend on the phone wasn’t real and it was all a recording. At one point her words sounded like another language that isn’t real. I thought she was a hallucination and I wasn’t really on the phone. It was so trippy. There were points nothing in my room looked familure. At the highest point I felt in another world. I was having these Visuals in My mind while my eyes were open but it would consum my entire field of vision but was still in my head. It’s hard to explain but I think I was hallucinating. I took my temp at one point and it was at 96.9 and I freaked out. I Thought I was going into hypothermia and panicked. It was scary. My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was coming out my chest. I was laughing so much then would panick and then laugh. I cried over the dumbest shit. The lights got so bright. I had a lot of quick delusional thoughts I really believed in the moment. I got high at 7pm and the next day I still feel traces at 12. My biggest concern is my chest. I feel like it’s being crushed and my breathing is so slow. Also feels like my throat closing in and I swallow and it’s dry. Idk if I’m having a paranoid fear of my lungs having been collapsed…also my chest burns in the center. Is it the edible. I mean I did take puffs but that was hours ago and I only had like 5. I hope it’s not my heart. I want it to clear up. Delta 8 is NOT the same as normal weed. Yes you’ll have simular reactions only difference is it is much more psychoactive. When edibles are digested it makes the potency a lot stronger. There is more than just weed chains in here. They put other shit inside it. So everyone saying we are lying is stupid. All of our stories are real. I’ve had many trips I know my body I know weed and this delta 8 stuff is a psychoactive!
Took enjoy delta 8 gummies for a good 2 months or so on and off and my experiences by far have gotten worse!! First time was actually very very fun as i had a super super chill time felt like a normal high and was super relaxing however was still high in the middle of the night when i woke up i felt as i had a massive hangover and midway through the day things returned back to normal! Second through around 8th time i felt the same way and didnt think anything bad about them truly. As of now i took one around a month ago and started then feelings wierd (depersonalization), zoning out, excessive sweating at night, fatigue, my eyesight feels like im high with my peripherals foggy and more sensitive to light, anxiety, depression, i feel as if im just not there. I started feeling back to normal after a good 2 weeks and my dumbass decided to take another around 6 days ago! During the high i was fine and all was normal but the day after i was in my room depressed as fuck and felt like my memories werent mine but i can still remember everything. Feels like i cant imagine it still, i have episodes of anxiety and depression and it has been since sunday today is (friday) and i am starting to feel better slowly and slowly while still having episodes where i feel trapped and no even close to myself! I will post about potentially how long it takes to recover from these pathetic gummies and i will never touch another product with any thc in it my experience has been completely ruined and im lucky i didnt end up dead!
I’ve smoke Delta 8 in the rechargeable vape for maybe 6 or 7 months now. Not everyday or every week but I’ve noticed if I smoke it often it doesn’t help as much. I’ve suffered with pain since I can remember and I’ve been hooked on pain killers for almost 17 years. Delta 8 isn’t for everyone just like the isn’t for everyone. There will be negative side effects and there will be positive effects. For me it helps ease my pain and I don’t even think about painkillers. I can sleep for maybe 6 hrs which is about twice as long as I normally do. It’s very harsh when I hit it almost like vaping for the first time. It catches the back of my throat and hurts when I cough. Ill take that over the withdrawal symptoms from painkillers any day of the week. I’ve been trying to get off suboxen and painkillers for too long and I’m hoping this can help aid in the restless legs and awful pain. Most people think everyone can just go to rehab for months but that isn’t an option for me. I support 6 kids and help any and everyone I can. I’m not recommending it for everyone but if you’re sick and tired of being subscribed pills that you feel like you’re dying without I’d try Delta 8. I hit it one time and it helps me. If you’re looking to party this information won’t help you but if you’re looking for a better alternative to pills, I think this is a great start.
I tried Delta 8 gummies with 2 of my friends for my first time. I didn’t know what I was doing and consumed too much, however the effects were TERRIBLE. For the person who took 1 gummy to me who took 3 (50mg each). I had paranoia, was spazzing, thought after I acted, threw up a lot, and couldn’t focus on anything at all. We were both sent to the hospital because my friends heart race increased and she passed out twice/threw up as well. I do understand i too too much, but the effects were nothing but unpleasant and dangerous. I seriously believe something is abnormal about the edibles especially after reading they have not been properly approved.
Once or twice a month me and my friends will hang out and we will each take a delta 8 cookie! Every time we do my face will get fuzzy, the flavor of food and drinks will be painfully exaggerated, and it feels as though whenever I close my eyes I lose my free will and become and outside observer to my own actions. None of my other friends are affected the same way I am so it is a bit funny. But recently about a week after I last ate one I have felt greasy and oily no matter what, I can shower or take a bath as much as I want but everytime I touch any foreign substance it feels like im being coated in grease, be it food, water, soap, dust. I cannot even feed my reptiles without the calcium powder they need making it feel like ive been drenched it oil and grease. 4/10 will probably keep eating them.
